Sedation Therapy for Comfort

Who Needs Sedation Therapy?

Patients with anxiety, physical or mental problems should use sedation therapy to keep them relaxed during dental procedures. Sedation therapy is a choice and isn’t required. It helps those who fear dentists and those who have challenges keeping still.

Choosing Sedation Among Options

Four sedation options exist including nitrous oxide (laughing gas), oral medication, IV sedation, and general anesthesia.  All but general anesthesia leaves you awake but relaxed. You are conscious of answering questions but are in “twilight sleep.”
Mall Road Dental professionals are willing and ready to discuss your concerns about sedation and will work with you to find the right solution.

Sedation Therapy Is Safe

Sedation therapy is a safe way to help people feel more comfortable during a dental appointment. Our staff at Mall Road Dental are trained in using it. Sedation therapy comes with few side effects and is a low-risk option. Those using sedation therapy will need someone to drive them home.
